The Stop fajčeniu, o.z / Stop Smoking, NGO is a non - profit organization, active in the tobacco control field in the Slovak Republic since 2000.

Our human resources consist of a multi-disciplinary team of physicians, public health specialists, teachers, psychologists. Moreover, the Stop fajčeniou, o.z. cooperates with WHO Country Office in the Slovak Republic, EU campaign “Help – for life without tobacco”, National Coalition for Tobacco Control in the Slovakia, public health institutions and other statutory and private organizations in the Slovak republic.

The organization has created a large network of partners in Member – States of the EU, EFTA members and USA. The organization is a part of many national and international projects, including FAQT.

One of the primary goals of is effort to enforce the use of acts related to protection of non smokers, act on advertising.

Objectives:

• Development and realization of activities focused on smoking prevention and smoking cessation.
• Presentation of interests and protection of non - smokers rights.
• Protection of passive smoking in family environment especially children and youths.
• Education and prevention among young people, workshops, seminars and other educational activities.
• Provide medical and legal consulting, smoking cessation courses, publishing of material and information leaflets.
• Participation in national and international projects focused on tobacco control.
• Organization national and international campaigns against smoking.
